Timed messages to chat

Hi, I am looking for a way to send a message to my chat about halfway through my stream and another about 15 minutes before it ends. The one message is meant to prompt engagement in a passive way as my stream is mostly quiet art streaming and the other is a reflective ending message to thank any viewers towards the end. The idea is to encourage them to be engaged, even quietly as I attempt to grow my audience. I thought this feature was available in wizebot but I can’t seem to find it.

I only want each message to go out once at a specific time point, as long as there is at least 1 viewer present regardless of lines of chat and I don’t want to have to manually trigger it as that will take away from the flow of my stream.

I am already using the stream notice extension for a welcome message to keep from calling out new viewers but still provide them with a warm welcome and information about my streams.

Any assistance is appreciated

Hello,
Predicting the half of a live, and the 15 minutes before the end, is impossible (you’d have to be a medium  ).

The only thing you can do is create an automatic announcement at a specific time, but it will be for a specific delay.

Not a medium, just very predictable. I stream for 2hrs each time so I know my halfway point in 60 minutes in and so forth.

What I have come up with is a say text chat command that has specific gating for the timing and am using IFTTT to automate the trigger of the command. At least thats the plan/theory at the moment. I’ve been on vacation so next stream is Thursday and we’ll see if I set it up correctly

So yes, if you have very strict schedules, it’s predictable

I’ll make a note of the idea of being able to set a fixed uptime for an announcement.

In the meantime, have you tried just creating two announcements, one with the frequency set to 65m/70m, and another at 105m?

I did but the information on announcements turned me off to the idea. It could be the literal interpretation that my brain focuses on when reading instructions and information about purposes of items but announcements felt less engaging and more like an actual announcement. Like if I wanted to say something to remind people where to find my other socials or something like that or if my schedule was going to be different for some reason then I would want an announcement. However, these are meant to be engaging prompts, I wanted something that felt more natural? I realize having the bot say it probably doesn’t make it natural and I did see that theres a command option to say it from my account but I haven’t decided to upgrade to pro yet so I didn’t want to use that in case it goes away when my trial ends.

The other complication is that I am rotating messages based on my stream schedule. I have 3 different sets of messages, 1 for each day I stream.

Perhaps I am struggling to understand how the announcement system works and why it would be better than my command set up? Is there a way to combine the 2 so I don’t need IFTTT? I am looking for a setup that keeps my interaction with the interface minimal so that I don’t have to interrupt my art flow. I am also streaming on my phone and using my iPad for stream management tools.
